How to add, edit, or delete Google Health data & activities

Learn how to manually add or change your Google Health data and activities.

To delete your Fitbit account, check How do I delete my Fitbit account and service?

If you forgot to wear your Fitbit device or you want to record an activity that isn't detected automatically, manually log the exercise.

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
    and tap the Fitness tab 👁 Image
    .
  2. Tap a recent activity, or search for an exercise type.
  3. Enter the activity details, and tap Add or Save.

Depending on the exercise, you can choose to edit the type of exercise, start and end times, distance covered, and calories burned.

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
    .
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Google Health settings 👁 and then
    Manage data and privacy 👁 and then
    Manage your data.
  4. Tap Exercise 👁 Image
    to delete your data and confirm your changes.

  3. Tap Google Health settings 👁 and then
    Manage data and privacy 👁 and then
    Manage your data.
  4. Tap Active Zone minutes to delete your data and confirm your changes.

  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Google Health settings 👁 and then
    Manage data and privacy 👁 and then
    Manage your data.
  4. Tap Floors or Steps to delete your data and confirm your changes.

To edit a sleep log:

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
    .

  2. Tap the Sleep tile 👁 and then
    Sleep duration.

  3. Swipe up to check your sleep sessions, tap the session you want to edit 👁 and then
    Edit

Note that for devices that receive sleep stages, if you extend your time asleep, you may notice gaps at the beginning or end of your sleep stages.

To delete a sleep log:

  1. On the Sleep tile, tap the Sleep duration tile.

  2. Tap the sleep log you want to edit.

  3. Tap the 3 dots icon 👁 and then
    Delete Sleep Log or Delete Log.

If you sign in with your Google Account:

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
    .
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Google Health settings 👁 and then
    Manage data and privacy 👁 and then
    Manage your data.
  4. Swipe up to check your data, then tap a data type.
  5. Tap Delete to delete all data, or tap a range to delete some data.
  6. Confirm that you want to delete the data.

Delete a single irregular rhythm notification in the Google Health app. For instructions on how to delete all irregular rhythm notifications with a date range, check How do I control my Google Health data?

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
     and tap the Health tab 👁 Image
    .
  2. Tap the Body temperature tile. If you can't find Body temperature, tap Customize right next to "Key Metrics" 👁 and then
    Add 👁 Image
    at the corner of the Body temperature tile 👁 Image
    .
  3. Tap an individual temperature value.
  4. In the upper right, tap Deletion 👁 and then
    Yes when asked to confirm if you want to delete this value. The value will then be removed from the list of temperatures.
You can only delete values when you are connected to the internet.
Note: If you weigh-in with a Fitbit scale, the Google Health app records your weight. For Fitbit Aria Air, have the Google Health app open on your nearby phone when you step on the scale, and save your weight log when prompted. To manually log weight:

  1. From the Today tab 👁 Image
    , tap the Weight tile.
  2. Tap 👁 Image
    Log 👁 and then
    Weight at the bottom.
  3. Enter your weight and tap Save.

  2. Tap the 👁 Image
    icon at the top.
  3. Enter your weight and tap Save.
  1. Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access Google Health.
  2. Find the weight tile, and tap the 👁 Image
    icon. If you can't find the weight tile, tap Settings 👁 and then
    Weight to add the tile to Google Health.
  3. Tap the check mark icon to log your weight.
  1. Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access your widgets.
  2. Find the weight widget, and tap it. If you can't find the weight widget, tap Manage 👁 and then
    Google Health Logging 👁 and then
    Weight to add the widget.
  3. Tap Log.
  4. Use the 👁 Remove
    and 👁 Image
    icons to adjust your weight, and then tap Save.

To change or delete weight logs:

  1. From the Today tab 👁 Image
    , tap the Weight tile.
  2. To delete a weight log, swipe left on it, then tap Delete. To adjust a weight log, tap the log you want to edit and make your changes.

  2. Tap on a weight entry to select it then tap on the entry that you want to edit or delete.
  3. Tap on the Pencil icon 👁 Image
    on the top right to edit or the trash can icon 👁 Image
    to delete.

To reassign a weight log:

  1. Open the Google Health app 👁 Image
    .
  2. At the top left, tap Connections 👁 Image
    👁 and then
    your device.
  3. Tap Recent Weigh-Ins.
  4. Tap the weigh-in you want to reassign.
  5. Reassign the weigh-in to the correct person
Track your water intake in the Google Health app. On Fitbit Versa series, log your water intake on your wrist.

To log water intake:

Google Health app

  1. From the Today tab 👁 Image
    , tap Hydration.
  2. At the bottom right, tap Log water.
  3. Enter the amount of water you drank, then tap Save.

If you can't find the Hydration tile, you can add it by following the step below.

Versa, Versa Lite Edition, and Versa 2

  1. Swipe up from the clock face to check Google Health.
  2. Locate the Hydration tile. You may have to swipe up to find it. If you can't find the Hydration tile, tap Settings at the bottom of Google Health, and turn on the Hydration tile.
  3. Tap the 👁 Image
    icon on the Hydration tile, and enter the amount of water you drank.
  4. Tap the check mark.

Sense and Versa 3

  1. Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access your widgets.
  2. Find the Hydration widget, and tap it. If you can't find the Hydration widget, tap Manage 👁 and then
    Google Health Logging 👁 and then
    Hydration to add the widget.
  3. Tap Log.
  4. Use 👁 Remove
    and 👁 Image
    to adjust the amount of water you drank, and then tap Save.

To delete or edit water logs:

  1. From the Today tab 👁 Image
    in the Google Health app 👁 Image
    , tap the Hydration tile.
  2. Tap the day 👁 and then
    the water log you want to delete.
  3. Tap Delete 👁 Delete
    and confirm.
  4. To edit the water log, tap Edit 👁 Image
    and make your edits.
