Create or edit a note

You can write or say notes in Keep and find them from any device. Learn how to create and edit notes using your Google Assistant.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Keep app 👁 Google Keep
   .
2. At the bottom right, tap Create 👁 Add
   .
3. Select a type of note:
   • Audio 👁 Image
     
   • Image 👁 Image
     
   • Drawing 👁 Image
     
   • List 👁 new list
     
   • Text 👁 Image
     
4. Add a title.
5. When you’re done, tap Back 👁 Back
   .

Tip: You can also create text notes on a single click when you single tap Create 👁 Add
. To enable this setting:

1. At the top left, tap Menu 👁 Menu
   👁 and then
   Settings 👁 Settings
   .
2. Under “Note creation,” enable Create text notes by default.
   • You can always long press to create other note types.

2. Tap the note you want to edit. 
3. Make changes to a note.
   • To undo an action, tap Undo 👁 Undo
     .
   • To redo an action, tap Redo 👁 Redo
     .
4. When you're done, tap Back 👁 Back
   .

2. At the bottom right, tap Create 👁 Add
   👁 and then
   Text 👁 Image
   .
3. At the bottom left of the note, tap Create 👁 Image
   👁 and then
   Recording.
4. At the bottom, tap Speak 👁 Speak
   .
5. When the microphone appears, speak your note.
   • To listen to it, tap Play 👁 Play recording
     .
   • To remove it, tap Delete 👁 Remove
     .
