Give a place a private label
Important: Weβre currently updating settings for Google Search services, which include Search, Maps, Shopping, Flights, Hotels, Translate, and News. These are rolling out gradually over the next few months. If the settings in this article do not match what you see, history and personalized recommendations for Search services are still controlled by Web & App Activity.
You can add a private label to places on your map. Labeled places show up on your map, in search suggestions, and in Google Photos.
To add a label, follow the steps below.
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Search for a place or address.
- Choose Add a label.
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- At the top left, click Saved π Save place

Labeled. - Choose the label you want to edit.
- Click Edit your label π Edit
. - Enter a new label name.
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- At the top left, click Saved π Save place
π and then
Labeled. - Next to the label you want to remove, click Remove π Remove
.
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- At the top left, click Saved π Save place

Labeled.
