When you search for videos and other content on YouTube, you can refine your search by using advanced filters.

How to filter searches on the YouTube iOS app
Subscribe to the YouTube Viewers channel for the latest news, updates, and tips.
You can filter videos by factors like upload date, view count, and duration.
- Open the YouTube app.
- Tap Search 👁 Image
. - Enter a search term.
- When the results show, tap Filter 👁 Image
. - Select the search filters you want to add like Upload Date, Type, and Subtitles/CC. Then tap Back 👁 Image
. - To adjust the filters for the search, Tap Filter 👁 Image
again and select the filters you want.
Mobile site
You can filter by Upload Date and Category.
- Go to m.youtube.com.
- Tap Search 👁 Image
. - Enter a search term.
- Tap Filter 👁 Image
. - Tap the Down arrows below the search box.
