The "Martian emissary" is a Gaian device stored in a pyramid on Mars. His sole purpose is to go to Gaia if ever the Angolmois Energy inside the planet would be targeted for evil intents and merge with the Mother Computer to activate a doomsday mechanism. He is cute, personable, and bumbling, butβto facilitate his missionβalso deceitful and without regard for his own existence. His programming is such that he can communicate with NAVIs, which to Transformers sounds like a series of bleeps and bloops.
The emissary was part of a failsafe program left by the Gaians to destroy the Angolmois Energy on Gaia if it ever became corrupted by evil and threatened the universe. Once activated, he would interface with the Mother Computer on Gaia to pull the Moon towards Gaia, destroying both the planet and the Angolmois Energy it held.
As the artificial planet Nemesis approached Mars, the Martian emissary emerged from a step-pyramid and beelined it for Gaia. He was initially mistaken as a shooting star by Artemis, who made a wish upon it. The Maximals detected the emissary's approach and came to inspect his landing site, where he was able to communicate with NAVI. NAVI informed the Maximals he had the means to "control" the Angolmois Energy and needed to go to the Mother Computer, but while they were passing through the Valley of Lions they were attacked by Hellscream and Max-B, who grabbed the saucer and used him for an impromptu round of pickle-in-the-middle until Skywarp rescued him.
The emissary caused a seeming rockfall to slide aside, revealing a passageway to the Mother Computer's subterranean dwelling. He interfaced with the computer, projecting a brief history of the former residents of Gaia and how they came to leave this world. The saucer then merged with the Mother Computer and began the program pull the Moon towards Gaia. Emissary of the Fourth Planet
The Maximals were able to break through the Mother Computer's defenses, allowing NAVI to enter the computer and confront the emissary, who was now interfaced with the computer's core. Despite resistance, NAVI was able to reprogram the computer and make it abort the crash. The emissary seemingly stayed within the Mother Computer, which was buried when the Galvaburg II subsequently bombed the site. The Crisis of Planet Gaia
