Mother Computer

Buried deep underground in a ruined city on the planet Gaia is the Mother Computer (マザーコンピュータ Mazā Konpyūta), a towering monolith which stands testament to all the accomplishments of its mysterious creators and all of their folly.

Despite millennia of disuse, it still functions... unfortunately.

Generations Selects Special Comic

Built by humanity, powered by Angolmois Energy, and kept in an underground chamber, the Mother Computer was consulted regarding things of great consequence.

However, when humanity's Selectors rebelled, the Quintessons took advantage of this opportunity, corrupting the Mother Computer via Angolmois Energy that was influenced by their wicked hearts. After the Quintessons proposed an alliance with humanity to wipe out the Selectors before they could drive their creators from Earth, Spike Witwicky, unaware of the Mother Computer's corruption, asked the computer if they should ally with the Quintessons, to which it answered in the affirmative. Volcanicus comic 2 The attending Quintesson Judge admitted to their deception regarding the Mother Computer after shooting Spike through the chest, and Angolmois Energy emerged from the chamber's floor as the Quintesson ranted. Beast Wars II cartoon

After arriving in the North Continent of Gaia, Galvatron followed traces of Angolmois Energy and discovered the Mother Computer. He directly interfaced with it and demanded it show him the most powerful forms in the planet's history; it imprinted the templates for a drill tank and a massive dragon onto him, but the strain put Galvatron into a deep slumber. Megastorm, using a more standard computer interface, requested specifications for weapons and construction vehicles suited to Gaia for the other Predacons to use. One of Galvatron's wishes before losing consciousness was for the Predacons to capture the mysterious white lion that had earlier saved the Lio Convoy Unit, so Megastorm had the Combatrons do just that. Starscream and BB captured it and, unaware that it was Lio Convoy brought it to the site of the Mother Computer where Megastorm was still at work. At a good moment, Lio Convoy escaped and chased the Predacons off. White Lion, Run!

Much later, as the artificial planet Nemesis passed by Mars, a control robot emerged from Mars and headed for Gaia. He made contact with the Maximals and NAVI and with the half-truth that he knew a way to calm the Angolmois Energy, he got them as his escort for the final part of his journey to the Mother Computer. Once there, he entered the computer and activated a doomsday program designed to crash the Moon into planet Gaia and eliminate the contaminated Angolmois Energy before it would be able to threaten the universe. With the help of Galvatron, the Maximals were able to break through the Mother Computer's defenses, allowing NAVI to enter the computer herself and reprogram it to deactivate the doomsday program. The Moon's descent was halted just in time. The Crisis of Planet Gaia

Beast Wars II comic

Lio Convoy and Tasmania Kid travelled to the underground of an island in ruins and found a large facility that was still operational and that centered around a dragon-shaped Angolmois Energy network. Lio Convoy cautiously theorized that this was the city's Angolmois Energy-based power plant and had to leave it at that because Galvatron arrived and scanned the dragon. As Lio Convoy and Galvatron began fighting, Infiltrate the Mystery Island! Tasmania Kid was found by Scuba and they teamed up to get to the bottom of the facility's true purpose. They came upon the Mother Computer itself and Scuba went through its files. He discovered that they weren't in a power plant, but in a biological weapons factory that utilized Angolmois Energy. The dragon that Galvatron had scanned was the factory's primary project and it was that very dragon that had destroyed the city. Free the Captured Matrix!

Beast Wars: Uprising

When the Commandron ship Hyperborea entered orbit of the planet Energoa, the Skriix contacted them to say the planet and the Mother Computer belonged to them. Its ruins were close enough to the crash site of the Hyperborea for Astral Knight to spot it. The Inexorable March
