anyone else live with two guys who are total garbage disposals?
i know i've been absent in this community for a while. i hadn't really been following the program much lately. i graduated college and moved back to my parents for 5 months where, to help my parents out, i'd cook dinner for my family every night. i didn't feel like making TWO meals so I'd have something healthy to eat, and plus they were always eating something really yummy. Anyway, I didn't gain overall in those 5 months, but when I compared my progress in the last 5 months to the first 5 months I was on the program (which I've been on for about 10 months), I was disgusted. It only took me 5 months to lose 30 lbs. I was 10 lbs away from my goal weight and I just ....lost motivation. Oh yeah, my breakup in December definitely didn't help. And then in the last 5 months, I had only lost 3 lbs.
I finally moved back to my college town as I'm now going through a teaching credential program, and am back at the WW center that I like (the one by my parents' house didn't have very good meeting leaders and the people that attended the meetings were downright annoying), my bf and I got back together, so life is grand, right?
Pretty much except for the fact that I moved in with my boyfriend and his roommate and so there is always Ben & Jerry's in the freezer, SOFT chocolate chip cookies on the counter (cuz you KNOW soft is better!), cake in the fridge (because it was my bf's bday on Sunday), and all kinds of other temptations. So I'm faced with...dessert...apple slices or SOFT chocolate chip cookies? Hmmm.... Anyone have any suggestions for how to handle this temptation? I'm 15 lbs away from my goal and I don't want to take another 5 months to get there. And telling them not to bring it into the house is not an option. Thanks for reading! |
