Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonThese headphones almost check every single box I needed for working remotely. I take a lot of meeting, code, listen to music, and often times hang out in an "office hours" meeting to let people pop in to chat with me. The problem with bluetooth headsets is the act of sitting in that meeting degrades the audio quality just to activate the mic. Gaming headsets solve this by using a custom 2.4ghz protocol to keep audio fidelity high while still using the mic. Not only that, but I can also connect bluetooth to my phone and take calls on that separately which is a very nice perk. So many pros to list:
Pros:
- Very good audio quality (not audiophile grade, but much better than bluetooth w/ the mic on)
- Light weight, comfortable, very easy to wear for 12+ hours at a time if needed
- Simultaneous dual connectivity with 2.4ghz and BT
- Solid ANC that helps cancel out background noises (kids, neighbors, etc...)
- Mic that noise cancels well, actually sounds good, and has worked pretty reliability
- Don't look blinged out like most gamer headsets so I can use it in a professional environment
- Glad they have the red light at tip of mic when muted, though I prefer fold up to mute
Cons:
- Works well out of box on mac, but no mac software to manage it
- I've had the 2.4ghz cut out like 20 ft away from my computer (there were a couple walls to be fair)
- I would prefer a fold up to mute style mic, but not if it hinders the quality of the mic
As long as I am at my desk these are as near perfect headphones as I can get. They allow me to sit in my office hours meeting, listen to music at normal quality, and take meetings while sounding professional too.
“The Sony INZONE H9 II is a game-changer for PS5 gaming. The sound is incredibly immersive, with crisp highs, deep bass, and precise directional audio that makes every game feel more realistic. The noise-canceling feature helps me focus during intense gaming sessions without distractions from the surrounding environment.
The headset is very comfortable for long PS5 sessions—the soft ear cups and adjustable headband fit perfectly, even during marathon gaming nights. The wireless connection is stable, and battery life easily covers extended play. Setup with the PS5 is straightforward, and the premium build adds a solid, high-quality feel.
Pros:
+ Outstanding sound quality tailored for gaming
+ Precise directional audio for immersive PS5 gameplay
+ Effective noise-canceling for focused gaming
+ Comfortable for long gaming sessions
+ Wireless with stable connection and long battery life
Cons:
- Priced higher than some competitors offering similar audio quality
- Limited EQ customization options without additional software
- Does not fully integrate to PS5 console unlike Sony Pulse 3D Elite (hope this will get updated by Sony)
Overall, the Sony INZONE H9 II is perfect for PS5 gamers who want immersive audio, comfort, and reliable wireless performance. It makes every game feel more engaging and enjoyable.
Just received these and was able to set them up. First impression: Very comfortable. Exceptionally comfortable. I have an extremely large head and it's tough finding the right headset. This Sony headset has very minimal clamping force, and the adjustable headphone is perfect for me on the maximum setting. This headset is so comfortable that I wouldn't mind wearing them for a regular office work day.
I read the online manual pretty carefully. I was able to connect to my PC by Bluetooth easily. I also connected the wired USB to charge the headset. And I can also use the wire headphone connector into my DAC-AMP for best sound quality in theory. I plugged the wireless USB-C dongle into my work computer so I can use this work Teams calls and other PC-driven phone calls (Google Voice in Chrome, etc.)
The sound quality seems pretty good. I have an Audeze Maxwell headset with planar magnetic drivers and a Sennheiser 560S at home. I like the 560S the most for pure audio, but this is pretty good so far.
I tested the Microphone and recorded myself using the Windows Sound Recorder. The mic sounds great. Very clean, crisp and clear. I did some research and the H9 II has a superior microphone compared to the cheaper and older INZONE H9. This was important to me, to have a good microphone for work calls.
Now, I've read that the battery life for this headset is pretty lackluster. The manual says roughly 18 hours, I believe, depending on usage and functions.
The cost at $350 is also a little high, from what I've read online. But the WH-1000XM6 is well over $450, and this headset uses the same drivers. For a new release, premium Sony headset, I suppose that is what we pay for. Maybe the price will drop to $250-$300 in a year.
So far, I like this for the comfort and overall well-rounded quality. I haven't downloaded the EQ software yet. The ANC seems okay but I honestly won't need ANC functionality music, working in a quiet office.
3 stars because it no longer syncs with the ps5 like the older version did. Chat/Game mix, and the on screen display prompts no longer work with the ps5. They advertised this headset as the successor to the original H9's so that would lead one to assume they would carry these key features over.
To be fair and list the positives. They are extremely comfortable. Most light, comfortable headset i have ever used. I also love the simple sleek design. No unecsarry framework like the Astros have that not only make them look a little to gamery for outside use, but also unnecessarily heavy. Which leads me to this.... You can detach the mic and use these headphones as casual everyday noise canceling headphones and they won't come off like a gaming headset. The legit pass for just average headphones which I love. The smartphone app also let's you quickly and easily customize or select pre-made ED'S in seconds. I used the footstep eq for cod and this made footsteps extremely easy to hear.
Ultimatley I returned these because the ps5 sync is a deal breaker for me.
First review I've ever bothered to write up.
I've been through a lot of headphones since the late 90's, and that's an understatement. That being said, they just didn't cut it anymore. The primary reason for me specifically was the weight. I have some medical issues, and having the lightest "wireless" set I could find is an incredible priority for me these days as you can imagine.
What I didn't realize; was the bevvy of other features that went along side this product. The noise cancellation, the ability to balance game and chat volume with a button press or two, and the software is actually pretty useful for a change. The battery life is solid, and the microphone is good. For the life of me I can't really find any cons.
Since I bought these on sale, I don't have much to say about the price. Weight is #1 priority for me personally, so this review is a bit skewed. Though I seriously doubt you will find any more cons than I did, unless it's a manufacturing error.
Thanks for your time and consideration o/
These are some headphones for playing video games, and look subtle enough that you could use them around town in public. Compared to my 1000xm5's, these sound a bit clearer with less bass on the stock equalization curve. But there's still enough bass to enjoy most games. I've used them to play Silent Hill f on PS5 (around 14 hours), and because they have simultaneous bluetooth, they pair almost instantly to my tablet when I want to take a break or listen to music. The bluetooth and wifi signals are solid so far, with no drops.
Why did pay full price for these, when I already have several other expensive headphones? These have roomier earcups than my 1000xm5's, and both the earpads and headband can be modded easily. For the earpads, I installed WC 1000xm6 silicone covers, which fit really well, and for the headband, I switched out the fabric for a strip of silicone. The latter was simply a matter of removing 4 little phillips screws, cutting a strip of silicone, and installing it. It took me maybe 2 hours. Having used the Steelseries Nova Pro wireless several months, these H9 II are way lighter, and sound just as good, and dialogue is clearer on stock eq.
Do I like these? No, I love these.

Overall, pleased with this headset. It is being used primarily for PC gaming. Easy to hook-up via dongle and get running with an app that needs to be downloaded first. Set is very light & easily adjustable if not feeling a little cheap as it is mostly plastic (does keep it light though). Biggest problems I have include the power button placement on the right ear cup being just plain odd and not easy to get at (I do like that tapping it gives you current battery status). The other problem is that the ANC just does not handle filtering out human voices well. It does handle droning, constant noise like refrigerator motor hum or heater fans or outdoor AC units and such. Overall sound quality is good on PC, although I can not attest to PS5 or other consoles/devices. If the ANC was more effective I would be okay with giving 5 stars. No thoughts on the mic as I don't really use it, but the on/off button on the top of the left ear cup is very easily reached and provides an easily discernable tune when turned on and off. The mic can also be easily removed if not needed (kind of wish it would just stay attached and could be retracted or swiveled up, but oh well. Battery life is respectable, but given the light nature of the headphones a bigger battery would be nice, if not totally needed. Overall, this is a nice, good quality headset that just needs a little more quality of life engineering to justify its price tag.
It is the perfect noise-cancelling gaming headset. When ANC is turned on, I can not hear my PC fans and the AC noises is largely reduced. The adjustable headband and textile earcup ensure ultra-comfort. The inzone hub app on Windows is easy to use; you can turn on or off ANC and adjust different parameters. However, the only flaw I experienced is that the box I received comes with clear signs of opening; I may have received a used or returned product. Considering that the product quality is good, I will not replace it.
The Sony INZONE H9 II is a fantastic headset, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The black version looks absolutely gorgeous, and the headset is incredibly comfortable and lightweight, even during long gaming sessions.
One of the biggest improvements is the wireless performance. Sony has clearly upgraded the wireless technology, and it virtually eliminates the audio interference issues that affected the previous H9 and H7 models. The connection has been rock-solid in my experience.
While the price is on the higher side, you’re getting a premium feature set that helps justify the cost. The active noise cancelling is excellent, the microphone sounds great, and the audio quality is outstanding. Sony’s sound engineering really shines here, delivering an incredibly immersive experience.
Pair the immersive audio with the active noise cancelling, and it genuinely feels like you’re transported into the game world. The level of immersion surprised me—it was truly impressive.
My only real criticisms are the premium price and the lack of native PS5 integration features found on some previous Sony gaming headsets. Personally, I don’t consider that a major drawback, as Sony focused on the features that matter most: comfort, sound quality, microphone performance, noise cancellation, and wireless reliability.
Another standout feature is the build quality. The headset feels exceptionally durable, with a flexible design that inspires confidence for long-term use.
Overall, if you’re looking for a premium wireless gaming headset with excellent comfort, immersive sound, effective noise cancellation, and dependable wireless performance, I highly recommend the Sony INZONE H9 II.

Great sound difference
product came with scrathes in the box. which i dont care to be hones. but then the sound wheel is not working. its gonna take 15 days for them to come and pick it up and maybe 3 more to deliver a new one. Im very upster as I was waiting for this headset to enjoy.
