This article shows how you can easily integrate the CData JDBC driver for Adobe Target into your processes in RapidMiner. This article uses the CData JDBC Driver for Adobe Target to transfer Adobe Target data to a process in RapidMiner.
You can follow the procedure below to establish a JDBC connection to Adobe Target:
jdbc:adobetarget:
cdata.jdbc.adobetarget.AdobeTargetDriverπ The JDBC driver configuration. (Salesforce is shown.)
To connect to Adobe Target, you must provide the Tenant property along with OAuth connection properties mentioned below. Note that while other connection properties can influence processing behavior, they do not affect the ability to connect.
To determine your Tenant name:
You must set AuthScheme to OAuthClient for all user account flows.
Note: Adobe authentication via OAuth requires updating your token every two weeks.
Obtaining the OAuth Access Token
Set the following properties to connect:
With these settings, the provider obtains an access token from Adobe Target, which it uses to request data. The OAuth values are stored in the location specified by OAuthSettingsLocation, ensuring they persist across connections.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Adobe Target JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.adobetarget.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
π Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)A typical connection string is below:
Tenant=mycompanyname;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;
You can now use your Adobe Target connection with the various RapidMiner operators in your process. To retrieve Adobe Target data, drag the Retrieve operator from the Operators view.
π A Retrieve operation to select data. (Salesforce is shown.)
With the Retrieve operator selected, you can then define which table to retrieve in the Parameters view by clicking the folder icon next to the "repository entry." In the resulting Repository Browser, you can expand your connection node to select the desired example set.
Finally, wire the output to the Retrieve process to a result, and run the process to see the Adobe Target data.
