Nintex Workflow Cloud is a cloud-based platform where you can design workflows to automate simple or complex processes using drag-and-drop interactions β without writing any code. When paired with CData Connect AI, you get instant, cloud-to-cloud access to Bullhorn CRM data for business applications. This article shows how to create a virtual database for Bullhorn CRM in Connect AI and build a simple workflow from Bullhorn CRM data in Nintex.
CData Connect AI provides a pure, cloud-to-cloud interface for Bullhorn CRM, allowing you to build workflows from live Bullhorn CRM data in Nintex Workflow Cloud β without replicating the data to a natively supported database. Nintex allows you to access data directly using SQL queries. Using optimized data processing out of the box, CData Connect AI pushes all supported SQL operations (filters, JOINs, etc.) directly to Bullhorn CRM, leveraging server-side processing to quickly return the requested Bullhorn CRM data.
Connectivity to Bullhorn CRM from Nintex is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Bullhorn CRM data from Nintex, we start by creating and configuring a Bullhorn CRM connection.
Begin by providing your Bullhorn CRM account credentials in the following:
If you are uncertain about your data center code, codes like CLS2, CLS21, etc. are cluster IDs that are contained in a user's browser URL (address bar) once they are logged in.
Example: https://cls21.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornSTAFFING/MainFrame.jsp?#no-ba... indicates that the logged in user is on CLS21.
Bullhorn CRM uses the OAuth 2.0 authentication standard. To authenticate using OAuth, create and configure a custom OAuth app. See the Help documentation for more information.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Bullhorn CRM data from Nintex Workflow Cloud.
The steps below outline creating a new connection to Bullhorn CRM data from Nintex (via Connect AI).
With the connection to CData Connect AI configured, we are ready to build a simple workflow to access Bullhorn CRM data. Start by clicking the "Create workflow" button.
Once you configure the actions, click "Save," name the Workflow, and click "Save" again. You now have a simple workflow that will query Bullhorn CRM using SQL and sand an email with the results.
