While building visualizations, Geckoboard requires SQL queries to retrieve the necessary data. With built-in optimized data processing, CData Connect AI pushes all supported SQL operations (such as filters and JOINs) directly to Amazon DynamoDB, utilizing server-side processing for fast and efficient data retrieval of Amazon DynamoDB data.
Connectivity to Amazon DynamoDB from Geckoboard is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Amazon DynamoDB data from Geckoboard, we start by creating and configuring a Amazon DynamoDB connection.
The connection to Amazon DynamoDB is made using your AccessKey, SecretKey, and optionally your Domain and Region. Your AccessKey and SecretKey can be obtained on the security credentials page for your Amazon Web Services account. Your Region will be displayed in the upper left-hand corner when you are logged into DynamoDB.
