Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a completely managed, serverless data integration service. When combined with CData Connect AI, ADF enables immediate cloud-to-cloud access to Oracle Eloqua data within data flows. This article outlines the process of connecting to Oracle Eloqua through Connect AI and accessing Oracle Eloqua data within ADF.
CData Connect AI offers a cloud-to-cloud interface tailored for Oracle Eloqua, granting you the ability to access live data from Oracle Eloqua data within Azure Data Factory without the need for data replication to a natively supported database. Equipped with optimized data processing capabilities by default, CData Connect AI seamlessly channels all supported SQL operations, including filters and JOINs, directly to Oracle Eloqua. This harnesses server-side processing to expedite the retrieval of the desired Oracle Eloqua data.
Connectivity to Oracle Eloqua from Azure Data Factory is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Oracle Eloqua data from Azure Data Factory, we start by creating and configuring a Oracle Eloqua connection.
CData Connect AI uses a straightforward, point-and-click interface to connect to data sources.
There are two authentication methods available for connecting to Oracle Eloqua: Login and OAuth. The Login method requires you to have the Company, User, and Password of the user.
If you do not have access to the username and password or do not wish to require them, you can use OAuth authentication. OAuth is better suited for allowing other users to access their own data. Using login credentials is better suited for accessing your own data.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Oracle Eloqua data from Azure Data Factory.
To establish a connection from Azure Data Factory to the CData Connect AI Virtual SQL Server API, follow these steps.
