Always-on applications rely on automatic failover capabilities and real-time data access. CData Sync integrates live PingOne data into your SQL Server instance, allowing you to consolidate all of your data into a single location for archiving, reporting, analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and more.
Using CData Sync, you can replicate PingOne data to SQL Server. To add a replication destination, navigate to the Connections tab.
The Java version requires the Microsoft SQL Server JDBC driver, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center. Copy the JDBC driver to the lib folder of your Java Web server to make a connection.
π Enter the connection details. You are now connected to SQL Server and can use it as both a source and a destination.
NOTE: You can use the Label feature to add a label for a source or a destination.
π Add a label. In this article, we will demonstrate how to load PingOne data into SQL Server and utilize it as a destination.
You can configure a connection to PingOne from the Connections tab. To add a connection to your PingOne account, navigate to the Connections tab.
To connect to PingOne, configure these properties:
is the ID of the PingOne environment in which your Worker application resides. This parameter is used only when the environment is using the default PingOne domain (auth.pingone). It is configured after you have created the custom OAuth application you will use to authenticate to PingOne, as described in Creating a Custom OAuth Application in the Help documentation.
First, find the value for this property:
WorkerAppEnvironmentId='11e96fc7-aa4d-4a60-8196-9acf91424eca'
Now set to the value of the Environment ID field.
is the base URL of the PingOne authorization server for the environment where your application is located. This property is only used when you have set up a custom domain for the environment, as described in the PingOne platform API documentation. See Custom Domains.
PingOne supports both OAuth and OAuthClient authentication. In addition to performing the configuration steps described above, there are two more steps to complete to support OAuth or OAuthCliet authentication:
Set to OAuth.
Get and Refresh the OAuth Access Token
After setting the following, you are ready to connect:
When you connect, the driver opens PingOne's OAuth endpoint in your default browser. Log in and grant permissions to the application. The driver then completes the OAuth process:
The driver refreshes the access token automatically when it expires.
For other OAuth methods, including Web Applications, Headless Machines, or Client Credentials Grant, refer to the Help documentation.
π Configuring a Source connection (Salesforce is shown).CData Sync enables you to control replication with a point-and-click interface and with SQL queries. For each replication you wish to configure, navigate to the Jobs tab and click Add Job. Select the Source and Destination for your replication.
π Select Source and Destination connections for the replication. To replicate an entire table, navigate to the Task tab in the Job, click Add Tasks, choose the table(s) from the list of PingOne tables you wish to replicate into SQL Server, and click Add Tasks again.
π Choose entire tables to replicate (Salesforce is shown).Select the Overview tab in the Job, and click Configure under Schedule. You can schedule a job to run automatically by configuring it to run at specified intervals, ranging from once every 10 minutes to once every month.
π Schedule your job to run automatically.Once you have configured the replication job, click Save Changes. You can configure any number of jobs to manage the replication of your PingOne data to SQL Server.
Once all the required configurations are made for the job, select the PingOne table you wish to replicate and click Run. After the replication completes successfully, a notification appears, showing the time taken to run the job and the number of rows replicated.
π Run the job.Now that you have seen how to replicate PingOne data into SQL Server, visit our CData Sync page to explore more about CData Sync and download a free 30-day trial. Start consolidating your enterprise data today!
