The CData JDBC Driver for Power BI XMLA integrates Power BI XMLA data with wizards and analytics in IDEs like Aqua Data Studio. This article shows how to connect to Power BI XMLA data through the connection manager and execute queries.
You can use the connection manager to define connection properties and save them in a new JDBC data source. The Power BI XMLA data source can then be accessed from Aqua Data Studio tools.
URL: Enter the JDBC URL, which starts with jdbc:powerbixmla: and is followed by a semicolon-separated list of connection properties.
By default, use Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to connect to Microsoft Power BI XMLA. Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) is Microsoft's multi-tenant, cloud-based directory and identity management service. It is user-based authentication that requires that you set AuthScheme to EntraID (formerly AzureAD).
For more information on other authentication schemes, refer to the Help documentation.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Power BI XMLA JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.powerbixmla.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.

You can now query the tables exposed.
