Microsoft Power Automate is an online service that automates events (known as workflows) across the most common apps and services. When paired with CData Connect AI, you get instant, cloud-to-cloud access to Zuora data for visualizations, dashboards, and more. This article shows how to connect to Connect AI from Power Automate and integrate live Zuora data into your workflows and tasks.
CData Connect AI provides a pure SQL, cloud-to-cloud interface for Zuora, allowing you to easily integrate with live Zuora data in Power Automate β without replicating the data. CData Connect AI looks exactly like a SQL Server database to Power Automate and uses optimized data processing out of the box to push all supported SQL operations (filters, JOINs, etc) directly to Zuora, leveraging server-side processing to quickly return Zuora data.
Connectivity to Zuora from Power Automate is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Zuora data from Power Automate, we start by creating and configuring a Zuora connection.
Zuora uses the OAuth standard to authenticate users. See the online Help documentation for a full OAuth authentication guide.
In order to create a valid connection with the provider you need to choose one of the Tenant values (USProduction by default) which matches your account configuration. The following is a list with the available options:
Two Zuora services are available: Data Query and AQuA API. By default ZuoraService is set to AQuADataExport.
The Data Query feature enables you to export data from your Zuora tenant by performing asynchronous, read-only SQL queries. We recommend to use this service for quick lightweight SQL queries.
LimitationsAQuA API export is designed to export all the records for all the objects ( tables ). AQuA query jobs have the following limitations:
LimitationsWhen connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Zuora data from Power Automate.
To use Connect AI to integrate Zuora data into your Power Automate tasks, you need a new SQL Server connection:
With the connection to Connect AI configured, you are ready to integrate live Zuora data into your Power Automate tasks.
Now you have a direct connection to live Zuora data from Power Automate tasks. You can create more connections and workflows to drive business β all without replicating Zuora data.
