This course turns the science of emotion into practical, daily skill. By the end, you'll recognize your emotional patterns in real time, regulate strong feelings with research-backed techniques, ease the anxiety that drains your focus, and bring clearer, more compassionate communication to every conversation β in person and online.
In this course, you'll discover what's actually happening in your brain when emotions take over, then hands you the tools to ride those waves instead of being pulled under. You'll work with Plutchik's wheel of core emotions, Goleman's five traits of emotional intelligence, the 90-second neurochemical wave, the survey-and-scale technique, and Shinzen Young's equation Suffering = Pain x Resistance. What sets this course apart is the blend: rigorous neuroscience paired with simple, doable practices you can apply the same day you watch the video. If you've ever felt run by your emotions instead of guided by them, this course gives you the map.
Emotions shape your decisions, relationships, and sense of self, so getting fluent in them is one of the most practical skills you can build. In this module, you'll gain a working model of emotional intelligence and apply techniques to name, regulate, and respond to emotions with awareness and compassion.
