A logical sequence of words refers to arranging a set of words or phrases in an order that makes the most sense. The arrangement follows a specific logic-chronological, cause and effect, hierarchical, or thematic-so that the resulting sequence forms a coherent and meaningful statement, story, or list.
There are mainly 5 types of logical sequences of words that appear in exams, these are:
This type of sequence follows the order in which events occur over time β from earliest to latest. Chronological order helps us understand progressions such as life events, history, or a daily routine.

This sequence is based on physical size, quantity, or volume, usually arranged from smallest to largest (or vice versa). Itβs commonly used in science, measurements, or when comparing magnitudes.

Items are arranged based on status, authority, or importance β usually from the lowest to the highest. It helps in understanding organizational structures, such as in workplaces or governments.

This sequence follows the natural progression or transformation of an object or concept β like a cycle or series of steps. Itβs used to explain how things develop, change, or function in stages.
Example:

Items are arranged from smaller to larger regions β often moving outward like zooming out on a map. Helps in organizing locations logically, especially in geography or planning.
