Vein- and altered shear zone-type gold deposit, controlled by a series of NNE-trending shear structures that are located about 6 km west of the Zhaoping fault zone. Gold mineralization is closely associated with pyrite-sericite-quartz alteration zones within Linglong granite. Eight orebodies have been defined by drilling and underground channel sampling, of which the No. 3 orebody is by far the most important, and is the primary target of current mining activity. It extends for more than 400 m along strike and almost 500 m downdip, and consists of four principal lenses which are distributed along a shear zone.
