Old gold mine/ The showing/mine consists of at least 3 quartz-carbonate veins within a brecciated phase of the Jubilee tuffs. The shaft is collared in a more competent quartz-feldspar porphyry. The porphyry may be related to the intrusion of the Jubilee Lake Stock. At least two phases of lamprophyre dikes are apparent in the vicinity of the shaft. The older dikes trend 274/90 and the younger series trend 234/90. The breccia is composed of approximately 85% dacitic to andesitic fragments supported by a matrix of a similar composition. The breccia also hosts a small component <10% of coarse granodioritic fragments that may be related to the nearby Jubilee Stock
