Located approximately 13kms East of Glencoe.
The river commences approximately 11 km South-East of Glencoe and flows generally north east for about 41 kms into the Mann River.

Operated as shallow pits and dredging and sluicing in 1970.

Very high quality coloured Sapphires have been reported from here, especially dark to violet blue, light blue and green. Apparently some of the best star blue sapphires have been found here.
