An old, abandoned feldspar quarry in granite pegmatite. According to Friis (1894) in 1894 it was the largest producing feldspar quarry in Østfold.
The quarry had in 1894 a depth of total 33 meter and was 66 meter in length and had a width of about 9-10 meter.
The quarry was started around 1880 by Johannes Heyerdahl. Later it was owned by Ole Christiansen Orud but leased by wholesaler Reinert in Moss, around 1900 by P. P. Wistrand and by Harald Thiis until 1903.
I was restarted and worked by Hans Orud in the period 1931—1933.
