The Late Cretaceous granite is widely distributed in this deposit. The first stage of the Cretaceous Laojunshan granite complex, located in the eastern part of the deposit, is primarily composed of biotite granite. Most ore bodies are located within low–order fractures and fissures along the NE- and EW-trending faults, which exhibit a clear boundary between the ore bodies and wall rock. The major wall-rock alterations mainly include greisenization, silicification, muscovitization, and tourmalization.
