Quarry in a nepheline-albite pegmatite.

In 1939 and 1940 this quarry was operated by the Temagami Development Company, and 1,663 tons of nepheline pegmatite is reported to have been shipped to the United Feldspar Corporation of Maine, U. S. A. This property was acquired by the American Nepheline Corporation, and in 1941 and 1942, a considerable amount of trenching, stripping, and diamond-drilling was carried out along the nepheline band north and south of this quarry.

A second small quarry, 20 feet long with a 10-foot face, was opened on the
west side of the hill. A third quarry on the east side of the nepheline ridge 300 feet north of the Morrison quarry consists of a 40-foot slash along the side of the hill.
