A former Cd-Zn-Pb-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T2N, R6W, SBM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) ENE of Cucamonga Peak (coordinates of record), in the headwaters area of a N-flowing tributary of the Middle Fork Lytle Creek, N of the headwaters area of the South Fork, Lytle Creek, W of Scotland. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10034037 presents geographic coordinates of 34.22864, -116.19834 for this locality. This is in obvious error. The T&R data presented in that same file is also in error, consistent with the coordinates error.

Mineralization is a replacement deposit hosted in granite and limestone. The ore body strike N20W and dip 70E at a thickness of 9.14 meters and a length of 304.8 meters. Limestone strikes northward and dips steeply eastward. It is a contact deposit in a 30 foot tactite zone of garnet-epidote rock. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of open cuts and trenches and 1 adit at the S end.

Channel samples taken through widths of 5 to 6 feet have assayed at 3.2% to 13.1% Zn, from a trace to 3.6% Pb and 0.3 to 6.65 ounces Ag per ton.
