Budgie 10.10 Released: Officially Migrated From X11 To Wayland
The Budgie 10.10 desktop has been officially released in marking the open-source project's transition from X11 to Wayland.
The brief announcement with the just-tagged Budgie 10.10 on GitHub exclaims:
Budgie 10.10 was supposed to be out in Q1'2025 as the project's first Wayland-only release albeit development dragged on much longer than originally anticipated.
After the 10.10 preview release in November, Budgie 10.10 is officially out today for those wanting to try this latest Wayland-based Linux desktop. Download it from GitHub.
