For OpenJDK Java workloads the performance costs were a bit more visible compared to the heavy C/C++ workloads not relying on any JVM or similar.
For many of the Java workloads the performance cost of using SEV-SNP wasn't too great and again is a trade-off for better system security especially in public cloud computing environments.
