AMD EPYC Turin 128 Core Comparison: EPYC 9745 "Zen 5C" vs. EPYC 9755 "Zen 5"
The performance-per-Watt story continued to be quite compelling across the different HPC workloads tested on the EPYC 9745 and EPYC 9755 processors.
A big advantage with the AMD Zen 5C dense cores as a reminder is that they still have AVX-512 and the full ISA capabilities of the full Zen 5 cores. This helps make the EPYC 9745 performance competitive in these HPC workloads unlike with Intel Xeon 6 Sierra Forest lacking AVX-512.
ASKAP is one of the benchmarks that greatly benefits from the larger cache size.
