The Darktable RAW photography software results for the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 on the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 were comparable to the Ryzen 7 7840U performance but with lower CPU power consumption on this newer Strix Point laptop.

Similarly, the RawTherapee application saw the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 performing slightly behind the Ryzen 7 7840U. But when looking at the CPU power consumption numbers you can see within the ThinkPad T14s G6 it's consuming less power than other similar SoCs. The Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 has a default TDP of 28 Watts but within this ThinkPad T14s G6 at its defaults tended to consume much less power and commonly was running in the 15~18 Watt range. At least it's nice for power efficiency and lower thermals but does defeat some purpose upgrading from Zen 4. As mentioned in a follow-up article I'll be looking at these results with different ACPI Platform Profile settings on this new laptop.

For some apps like OpenSCAD and GNU Octave the Strix Point laptops offered some time savings over the Ryzen 7 7840U as a common Zen 4 SoC.
