For Threadripper PRO 9995WX in HPC workloads it's another case of how memory intensive the given workload is if it makes sense pairing the Threadripper PRO 9995WX with quad channel memory.
In some high performance computing workloads the Threadripper PRO 9995WX with quad channel DDR5-6400 was still delivering nice performance and power efficiency while with eight channel memory platforms will be even greater uplift.
OpenFOAM computational fluid dynamics (CFD) still benefited nicely from the Threadripper PRO 9995WX with quad channel memory on the TRX50 motherboard while it will be interesting to see how much further uplift there is from WRX90 and eight channel memory.
