When looking at the GEGL graphics library performance for that important component used by GIMP, GNOME Photos, and other apps, we see CachyOS delivering the best performance by far and much faster than upstream Arch Linux itself.
It's likely due to CachyOS' compiler optimizations and znver4 tuning that leads to the performance gains for GEGL.
When looking at the GraphicsMagick program shipped by all four Linux distributions, CachyOS was also delivering noticeably faster performance than Arch Linux and then far behind were Pop!_OS and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
