While with the HMMer scientific test where Intel's greater IPC performance yields much better numbers, the Core i3 8100 is aligned with the Ryzen 7 1700.

While in John The Ripper's OpenMP Blowfish crypto test, the i3-8100 is back to being in line with the Ryzen 3 1300X and superior to the Core i5 Skylake.
