Framework 13 With AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series "Strix Point" Makes For A Great Linux Laptop
For getting an idea of the performance potential of the Framework 13 with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, an assortment of different laptops at Phoronix were recently re-tested using Ubuntu 25.04 in its stock configuration. The laptops for this comparison included:

- Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U "Zen 3" - ThinkPad X13 G3
- Ryzen 7 7840U "Zen 4" - Acer Swift Edge 16
- Ryzen 7 7840U "Zen 4" - Framework 13
- Ryzen 7 7840HS "Zen 4" - Framework 16

In addition to looking at the raw performance on Ubuntu 25.04 for these laptops across many different workloads, the CPU/SoC power consumption and CPU core thermals were also monitored on a per-test basis.
