Framework Laptop 16 Upgrade To AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series Benchmarks

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 upgrade for the Framework Laptop 16 put the performance similar to the upgraded Framework Laptop 13. In cases like web browser benchmarks slightly faster, perhaps due to better cooling thanks to the larger design.

The performance also similar to the Zenbook S16 with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Over the prior-generation Ryzen 7 7840HS, it's a nice generational upgrade for an upgradeable laptop.

The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 performance is better than the Ryzen 7 7840HS previously found with the Framework Laptop 16, but hardly a surprise compared to the other Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 laptops we have tested over the past year -- including the Framework Laptop 13. It's a bit unfortunate that it took so long for the Framework Laptop 16 to be upgradeable to the Ryzen AI 300 series.

It would have been great if Framework Computer managed to launch the Framework Laptop 16 upgrade earlier this year at the same time as Framework Laptop 13 receiving the Strix Point treatment. Or if this larger laptop had also an option for AMD's Strix Halo even though it would mean losing out on the upgradeable memory.
