For those curious about the historical perspective on the mitigations=off impact while using the up-to-date Ubuntu 26.04 development builds across all tested hardware, here are those comparison numbers.

👁 Selenium benchmark with settings of Benchmark: ARES-6, Browser: Google Chrome. Ultra X7 358H: Defaults was the fastest.

For Skylake era CPUs and older is where the web browser performance impact was measurable and could be increased by booting in mitigations=off mode. Since Ice Lake, that really hasn't been the case to any large degree.
