Intel Xeon 6980P 1S Performance With DDR5-6400/MRDIMM-8800
In the case of LAMMPS molecular biology with a 20k atoms model, a single Xeon 6980P managed to match two EPYC 9684X processors. AMD EPYC Bergamo and Siena though were leading for the best performance-per-Watt.
The Xeon Granite Rapids processors were running great with GROMACS and delivering leading power efficiency against current AMD EPYC processors.
Nice performance for Granite Rapids with the QuantLib quantitative finance software. There's a compelling upgrade path from older dual socket servers to one Granite Rapids CPU or dual Xeon 6 CPUs if your budget and power/cooling capacity allow.
The pretty crazy performance for Xeon Granite Rapids with MRDIMM memory...
