In the synthetic Stress-NG kernel micro-benchmark tests were a number of improvements spotted in specific areas.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: MMAP. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

MMAP was performing better on Linux 6.18 with this dual Xeon 6900P Gigabyte server.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Pipe. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

The pipe performance was also up on Linux 6.18.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Mutex. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Malloc. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Cloning. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Pthread. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: CPU Cache. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: x86_64 RdRand. Linux 6.17.2 was the fastest.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: Mixed Scheduler. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

In a number of the Stress-NG micro-benchmarks was similar or slightly better performance on Linux 6.18 for this high-end Intel Xeon 6 server from Gigabyte.

👁 Stress-NG benchmark with settings of Test: System V Message Passing. Linux 6.18 Git was the fastest.

The message passing performance is up nicely on Linux 6.18 for this dual Xeon 6980P server.
