Revisiting The Linux 6.19 Performance With "NEXT_BUDDY" Now Disabled

With the Microsoft Ethr network benchmarks of the localhost, the disabling of NEXT_BUDDY did recover some latency losses observed on Linux 6.19 Git up to this point. With the no NEXT_BUDDY state as of Linux 6.19-rc7+, the latency is now roughly comparable to where it was at on v6.18.

While the Ethr latency benchmarks showed improvements with disabling NEXT_BUDDY, for some local host TCP bandwidth/throughput benchmarks the Linux 6.19 Git state remained lower than Linux 6.18 stable.

But for UDP bandwidth throughput performance tests, Linux 6.19 remains much better off than Linux 6.18...

The Java DayTrader benchmark was one of the cases cited in the patch for disabling NEXT_BUDY due to regressions. With DaCapo's Tradesoap benchmark on OpenJDK Java 21, the performance does improve with NEXT_BUDDY now disabled.
