In the common web browser benchmarks, the performance was flat over Linux 7.0.

👁 Timed Linux Kernel Compilation benchmark with settings of Build: defconfig. Linux 7.1-rc6 was the fastest.

👁 Timed Godot Game Engine Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Linux 7.1-rc6 was the fastest.

The code compilation performance was the same between these two latest kernel branches. The FRED benefits particularly come down to networking, areas of much more intensive I/O, etc.

👁 Blender benchmark with settings of Blend File: BMW27, Compute: CPU-Only. Linux 7.0 was the fastest.

👁 Blender benchmark with settings of Blend File: Junkshop, Compute: CPU-Only. Linux 7.0 was the fastest.

👁 Intel Open Image Denoise benchmark with settings of Run: RT.ldr_alb_nrm.3840x2160, Device: CPU-Only. Linux 7.0 was the fastest.

👁 7-Zip Compression benchmark with settings of Test: Compression Rating. Linux 7.1-rc6 was the fastest.

Linux 7.0 was already in good shape on Panther Lake in my testing and is basically maintaining that same experience with Linux 7.1.
