AMD Zen 5 is the strong front-runner with simdjson thanks to this JSON parsing library's AVX-512 support.

That's the initial look at the Loongson 3B6000 performance under Linux. It worked better than expected especially compared to early RISC-V developer boards typically being much slower than Raspberry Pi class hardware.

Unfortunately, as mentioned, no support at this point for exposing the CPU power consumption under Linux for being able to accurately compare the Loongson 3B6000 power use against the AMD Ryzen and Intel Core processors.

As far as pricing, the Loongson 3B6000 with motherboard isn't currently available at any western retailers that I have found. From the likes of AliExpress the prior-generation Loongson 3A6000 with motherboard is available for $636~669 USD which is priced rather high compared to typical Loongson pricing. Within China, Taobao and JD offer LoongArch hardware. Loongson is working with the community for other options of making the LoongArch hardware available moving forward.

Thanks again to the Loongson Hobbyists Community for sending over this review sample and stay tuned for more benchmarks on Phoronix looking at additional performance benchmarks, competitive analysis to older DDR4-backed Intel and AMD CPUs, and other LoongArch64 Linux distribution testing.
