The Strange Brigade game on KDE Plasma 6.6 was seeing slightly better performance than GNOME 50 on Ubuntu 26.04 for this NVIDIA-powered System76 desktop.
The Unigine Superposition OpenGL performance was identical between GNOME and KDE.
With the Unvanquished open-source game, GNOME 50 had a performance advantage over Plasma 6.6.
Meanwhile with the Xonotic first person shooter title was a surprisingly large performance difference between GNOME and KDE, in favor of the KDE Plasma 6.6 desktop for this NVIDIA GeForce RTX Blackwell testing.
