Kicking this GPU compute testing off with Blender 4.3, the GeForce RTX 5090 delivers mighty fast render times to no surprise... Even when using the CUDA back-end, the GeForce RTX 5090 delivers excellent results and is fascinating to see how far the performance is compared to just two or three generations ago in the high-end desktop GPU space.

Making use of the OptiX back-end with Blender 4.3, of course, delivers even better results for these NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards. Crazy how far we have come since the GeForce RTX 2080 series days...

The GeForce RTX 5090 is a mighty performer for Blender 3D modeling if the $1,999 USD price-tag fits into your buget. The GeForce RTX 5090 does draw much more power but on a performance-per-Watt basis is comparable to the prior generation RTX 40 series graphics cards.

Mighty impressive after looking at the GPU power consumption numbers was how well the GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition was running much cooler than many of the prior generation Founders Edition graphics cards.

Blender 4.3 was performing great on Linux with the GeForce RTX 5090 for digital artists wanting to maximize their productivity.
