AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Linux Performance
Kicking things off with Counter-Strike 2 at 1080p, the Radeon RX 9060 XT came in 9% faster than the prior generation RX 7600 XT but with 25% better performance-per-Watt generationally.
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB maintained a much greater lead over the RX 9060 XT for Counter-Strike 2 running on Linux, but that graphics card retails for $429+ compared to $349+ with this new RDNA4 graphics card.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT saw much better performance over the RX 7600 XT for Grand Theft Auto 5 running on Linux via Steam Play: a 61% improvement here and even matching the RX 7800 XT performance with this rate exception. The performance-per-Watt was much better off with the RDNA4 graphics cards over RDNA3, but the NVIDIA graphics cards led here.
At 1440p, the RX 9060 XT was now running behind the Radeon RX 7700 XT on Linux but ahead of the GeForce RTX 4060 and at around 1.22x the performance of the RX 7600 XT.
