For Vulkan ray-tracing workloads, NVIDIA graphics cards on Linux continue to perform much faster than Radeon graphics cards with at least the Mesa RADV driver stack.

While well behind the RTX 5060 Ti in the Breaking Limit benchmark, the Radeon RX 9060 XT was performing much better generationally than the Radeon RX 7600 XT under Linux.

Vulkan ray-tracing also works better on Radeon than with Intel Arc Graphics where the RT state is even more immature. But for those with frequent and heavy Vulkan ray-tracing workloads, NVIDIA definitively remains the most viable option at the moment for Linux gamers.

The Radeon RX 9060 XT continued to deliver much better performance over the Radeon RX 7600 XT on Linux with the same open-source driver stack and also yielding much better power efficiency.
