Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 Beta Performance Looks Great - Initial RHEL 9 vs. RHEL 10 Benchmarks On AMD EPYC Turin
For those compiling your own HPC codebases from source on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and relying on the default toolchain, the upgrade to RHEL 10.0 (beta) from RHEL 9.5 can mean some nice upgrades particularly if on a server processor from the past few years.
With the Java DaCapo Benchmark tests there was some nice improvements too with going from OpenJDK 17 to OpenJDK 21 as the default JDK version on these Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases.
For those interested in WireGuard and the performance of the Linux network stack at large, there was a nice improvement with the RHEL 10 upgrade.
