Overall it was a very nice showing for the Mesa Rusticl driver compared to the official AMD ROCm OpenCL driver.

When looking at the geometric mean of all the benchmarks that ran on the driver configurations tested, ROCm 7.0 OpenCL on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Strix Halo using the Framework Desktop was around 8% faster than the very latest Mesa 25.3-devel Rusticl driver code. Mesa 25.3 for Rusticl is an improvement over Mesa 25.2 as shipped by Ubuntu 25.10 with enjoying around 7% better performance for this next quarterly Mesa driver feature release. Overall some nice healthy competition among these open-source OpenCL implementations and continues to show off the significant potential of the generic Rusticl Mesa driver.
