As seen right from the start, the new SiFive HiFive Premier P550 is significantly faster than the prior HiFive Unmatched performance... Easily 2~3x faster or more depending upon the workload. There's been enormous RISC-V CPU progress the past several years. But as you can also see, the P550 performance still trails behind the ARM CPU performance, even with the prior generation Raspberry Pi 4 (400) being at times twice as fast as the P550.

Besides being a huge upgrade from the prior generation SiFive HiFive development board, making the HiFive Premier P550 results more impressive is that the four CPU cores were running at a consistent 1.4GHz... Compared to the Raspberry Pi 400 having a peak CPU frequency average of 1.7GHz and the Raspberry Pi 5 up at 2.3GHz.
