AMD Threadripper 7980X Performance On Linux Two Years After Release

In a number of workloads the performance was flat or just ever so faintly higher with the 2025 Linux stack on this AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7980X workstation.
There were some healthy performance gains found with some of the CPU-based video encoders and also leading to nice performance-per-Watt gains with this latest Linux software stack.

Overall the Linux performance continues moving in the right direction for AMD Ryzen Threadripper. Two years ago this week the Linux performance was already in good shape for these high-core count Zen processors and is now even better.
