👁 DaCapo Benchmark benchmark with settings of Java Test: Apache Kafka. Ubuntu 25.10 was the fastest.
For the most part these benchmarks were rather uneventful. After all, Ampere Altra is now five years old and during the first few years saw a number of sizable ARM64 performance optimizations.
Unfortunately no insight into AmpereOne performance on Ubuntu 25.04/25.10 due to having had to send back that review server platform last year and since then not seeing any new AmpereOne hardware.
Occasionally there was some minor shift in performance on Ubuntu 25.10 for the System76 Thelio Astra but overall the performance is rather stable at this point for the mature platform.
