For many of the application benchmarks, the performance was similar or slightly faster now on Ubuntu 26.04. Not too surprising the lack of gains for some workloads given that the AMD Zen 5 CPU support on Linux was already mature in early 2025.
Code compilation benchmarks with GCC 15 on Strix Halo were tending to run faster than with GCC 14 on Ubuntu 25.04.
Firefox updates over the past year paired with general Ubuntu Linux software updates have led to some nice performance gains for the Framework Desktop.
