There were many improvements in the Java performance on Ubuntu 26.04. The big advantage here with Ubuntu 26.04 is the default Java environment defaulting to OpenJDK 25 rather than OpenJDK 21 used on earlier versions of Ubuntu Linux.
SQLite benchmarks were slightly faster on Ubuntu 26.04.
👁 Git benchmark with settings of Time To Complete Common Git Commands. Ubuntu 26.04 was the fastest.
Git was also showing some nice performance improvements on Ubuntu 26.04.
